Ellandale Travel is owned and operated by Dale McDaniel who opened the business in 1993. Dale has extensive experience in the industry, including a total of over 34 years in arranging both business and holiday travel for corporate clients.
To provide a knowledgeable and professional service to both business and holiday travellers we require our consultants to be well trained, widely travelled and experienced in all aspects of the travel industry.
Dale started her travel career in Canberra, managing the travel office in the American Embassy. She expanded the service to cover all US Government consulates and agencies in Australia and the Pacific region. Transferred to Perth, Dale was employed by Qantas as a passenger sales agent, then moved to a corporate agency in West Perth. In 1993, Dale founded Ellandale Travel in partnership with Laraine Kane, who retired in June 2001.
Dale has also owned and operated a country hotel and has lectured at TAFE on the travel industry Fares & Ticketing course. She holds diplomas in various travel related subjects and is widely travelled.
CAROLINE DE HAAS
Caroline commenced her career in Travel and Tourism in 1995 as a specialist in fares and ticketing, working for various ticketing consolidation companies consulting to travel agencies. She moved to direct corporate consulting upon joining Ellandale Travel in 2004. She has exceptional fares & ticketing skills and services all range of corporate clientele. Caroline specialises in complex itinerary construction and en-route amendments.
Katherine has been our Associate Director since 1999, originally managing the finance and administration of the company, progressing into managing our holiday travel. Katherine has been travelling worldwide since she was a child – from living in Canada to backpacking through Europe; African safaris to eloping to Maui - she has a passion for experiencing all the world has to offer. She understands diversity and that our travel dreams are unique to each of us.
David joined Bankwest after completion of his HSC. Over a 29 year period he progressed from back office/teller roles through to Commercial and Corporate finance lending positions. He completed a Diploma in Business Management whilst employed with the Bank. David brings this wealth of experience to Ellandale Travel as our Associate Director, assisting in all aspects of finance, administration and back office management.
Licencing and Accreditation
Ellandale Travel is an accredited member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and the Australian Federation of Travel Agents (AFTA). We are also an approved participant in AFTA's Travel Accreditation Scheme (ATAS). ATAS ensures its participants meet a high standard of professional ethics and service, as well as undergoing an annual financial review. We pride ourselves on our ethical culture, mirrored by the ATAS Code of Conduct.
We choose to have our performance reviewed monthly by our accountants and auditors, Page Kirk & Jennings, who are willing to act as a financial referee.
In 1998 Ellandale Travel became a Quality Endorsed Company under the ISO 9000 system. This made Ellandale Travel the first travel agent in Western Australia and first corporate travel agent in Australia to achieve certification.
